Track renewal of the almost 15 km long Loetschberg Scheiteltunnel (crest tunnel)

Since 2018 the tracks in the Loetschberg crest tunnel are getting renewed. The old ballasted tracks are taken out of the tunnel and the latest developped LVT supports are getting installed.

A very innovative solution to solve the logistical challenges is used. With an installed monorail on the seiling of the tunnel the complete site logistic is handled.
